Tanvi Mishra (Creative Director)
An editorial illustration for Abhinav Sekhri’s piece on how "The UAPA amendment treats Indians as subjects of a colonial sovereign" . India’s UAPA act of 1967 empowers the jailing of anyone merely suspected of threatening state security.
Sekhri argues that by its very architecture, the act presumes guilt and unfairly burdens defendants with providing proof of their innocence.
