Ilene Sova's curatorial approach incorporated grouping the submissions into broad, unique categories such that the artworks would appear to be talking to each other. These 5 categories followed the naming convention of Collaging the..."Masses", "Abstraction", "Portrait", "Icon", "Land".
 
Working with a landscape format (287x168mm) allowed the book to accommodate artworks that were of both unique dimensions and unique materials. The works in this survey were not simply collage out of and on paper, but of natural objects, fabric, archival paper, and mixed-media that comes with its own volume and often turning collage into sculpture.

A text layout was made that included artist name, title, medium/method, dimensions and a price (if for sale), however following Director Carla Garnet's incredible efforts in community building, artists eventually submitted a website, Instagram page or any portfolio-like information. In doing so, we could maximise as much as possible what each artist would be able to gain from the publication.

To enable viewers of the online exhibition to navigate the PDF, category names were placed next to page numbers, and a simple typographic indicator section dividers within the publication indicated which section had ended and which section had just begun.

Further, Instagram posts which doubled as e-vites were also made, using 8 of the artists' works.
